What philosophical quotation inspires you?
Commuters are being inspired by the words of Gandhi, Einstein and Shakespeare. Which philosophical words inspire you?
Quotations taken from a number of the world's greatest works are being read out by London tube drivers to make workers' jouneys more uplifting.
Transport for London has commissioned Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller to compile a list of bon mots to be used by Tube drivers.
Among the quotes on offer will be Gandhi's, "there is more to life than increasing at speed".
Would philosophical readings cheer you up on your journey? What quotes have inspired you in life? What do you find thought-provoking?

Victory and defeat both come expensive to us, the ordinary folk. The ordinary folk have been suffering from catastrophic aftermaths of wars since the first creation.

During the short life span only once to live one's humanitarian deeds should supersede harmful ones to be remembered and blessed forever.

When we say God is omnipresent, He is equally available in both good and bad by hiding Himself in varying degrees depending upon one’s earnest and sincerity towards executing a particular job. Accordingly one’s visiting of a Holly Place is nothing but respecting that fact that God exist only but can never undo one’s sin which one bound to suffer to refresh. He being the Order inside in every living entity, one must find Him within through one’s dedication to whatever one does.

Words are cheap - actions speak louder then words. I find people who hide behind words, cowards. So quick are people to put words on paper but when it comes to action, they are the first to look the other way. Sure people will say "words begin change" - that's wrong - people begin change. Philosophers have ruined freedom just as MBA's have ruined business (have to say something, no matter how bad an idea, just so could say your relevant).

Engaging one in a purposeful work is a far better an option to offer prayers to God than taking recourse to adopting procedures to offer prayers in a particular place of assembly with mind full of dirt or gathering knowledge from books to get a tangible result of acquiring automatic knowledge of the Almighty. The option becomes more than perfect when a Love govern the action when engaging oneself in a particular job of one’s choice carrying an intense desire of help to others in mind.

‘A little of knowledge acquired of any Subject is a live Volcano’. Armed with so, when an entity intends to impart knowledge to others, it invariably make everyone mad amasses especially when it connected to ‘Religion’ and ‘Spirituality’ to instantly force the mind to behave erratic. This is exactly is the reason why the present World is turned into a deep turbulence without seeing much sign of retract as yet in-spite of our best efforts to revert the knowledge so infused out of the mind .
