25 June 09-Newquay RBS pay
When the majority of businesses are freezing pay and recruitment how can the government justify the apparent endorsement of the £9.6 million pay package to the new RBS chairman?

I feel that RBS pay should not only be linked to the share price but also other performance indicators such as:
Customer satisfaction - savers and borrowers
Downward appraisal success
Financial stability - percentage of debt within the bank

Did any one see the ginger cat walking behind Julia? It was the most interesting part of the show! There are more important issues to discuss such as airport expansion policy, carbon reduction policies, massive house build in green belt areas and the huge and widening wealth gap in this country and between countries of the world. What a (nother) missed opportunity.

For years the financial "services" have been ripping off ordinary people. It is not just the bank heads but all the way down the chain, people are paid far too much for what they are worth.
Their greed took us into this recession and their pay should reflect the massive bail out without which they would all be out of a job.

this pay award is an aboslute disgrace who on behalf of the tax payer aproves this pay deal or fred the shred's pension deal. The basic problem is we leave this to our Mp's and we have already seen their performance with expenses, someone please tell me why are we so shocked by this.

Why do these bank executives need a large pay and a bonus?? I work just as hard as they do, and I get paid under 15K per year. I do not get a bonus at all, so why should these bankers. Especially bankrupt ones??
