25 June 09-Newquay Iran

Do you think that it is right that the UK expelled two Iranian diplomats after Tehran ordered the UK diplomats to leave the country?

Why do you only take questions from the audience? I realise the programme is recorded, but surely viewers should have the opportunity to put questions to the panel via pre-submitted e-mail. It is obvious the chairman knows in advance the questions to be asked from the floor, and he could easily pose questions sent in earlier in the day, and the audience would still have the chance to make their comments.

Nothing to do with Iran, but how else can one comment on BBC expenses? This was an opportunity for the two MPs to get their own back on David Dimbleby, after he has spent the past few weeks taunting MP panellists about their expenses. Last week he was waving the blacked out claims in their faces. Again the MPs showed lack of backbone. All we got was a mild query from Knight about whether David earned more than Jonathan. Pathetic.

It all rests on the extent of rigging. Its plausible that all the candidates are part of the establishment - shortlisted by the establishment which makes riging strange. It is also plausible that there is a big urban/rural voting divide. So that people in the big cities KNOW that everyone they know voted for MIR but the majority they don't know did not. Since the authorities seemed to be caught by surprise I think its just sour grapes

For years I've felt the west has been interfering in Iran's internal affairs when it had no right to do so. But now that I've seen that the present regime are flagrantly corrupt and have quite clearly rigged the poll to keep them in power ... I think they should take a leaf our of our MPs book and appoint a few of their cronies to have a private enquiry taking several years ... just like our wonderfully democratic PM is doing for us of the illegal war and lies about Iraq.
