Are there any empty 1960's tower blocks near Westminster that can be utilised as accommodation for the MP's whilst they are in London? They must be owned by the government though, just in case there is a fire, then no one will have to go to prison for breaching health and safety rules.

I fel a bit sorry for Jarvis Cocket who was clearly way out of his depth. The only reason he was booked on the show in all probability was to take the Michael Jackson question...

With the expenses scandel, I feel that this, if any is the perfect time and place to moderise and make fairer the politicians and the way that politicians are elected to be changed. If a party gets 45% of the votes shouldn't the party get 45% of the votes? Coalitions are a concern, yes but like-minded parties can form governments, and if a house has once side full majority, then debating and voting on various things can be discussed in full. In conclusion PR, would the commons better itself.

Peter Hitchens was absolutely brilliant the other night, definitely not afraid to speak his mind doesn't tow a party line like some of the politicians. Harman came across as a typical Labour sheep turning every comment into a party broadcast or an essay about how wonderful Brown is and how the 'global economic crisis' is to blame. Labour has wrecked this country and the economy. They are like a cancer that takes over. Please vote Conservative if you care about this country. DON'T VOTE LABOUR!!!!

Really it seems that Question Time , should be called the David Dibbleby Show. He is not an impartial Chairman anymore , nor has he been for some time. This man has become so vain and full of his own self-importance , that he is now a hinderence to the programme itself. Time to boot him into the long grass BBC and find a new less pompous chair.

Can anyone identify the creature that appeared on QT on Thursday 2nd July. It was situated on the far right hand side of the 4 panel guests and now and then it raised its head, grunted, wondered where it was and when it did speak it was in grunts. It was sartorially challenged, didn't seem to know where it was and went to sleep between questions.

It was so embarrasing to listen to Jarvis Cocker.

Usually the panel is quite good albeit a bit BBC/Lefty biased, but I thought last Thurdays show was spoilt by one of your musician friends, he seemed not to much about anything and seemed to be only half with it. You would had done a lot better and covered more with a smaller panel

There have been countless comments re Cocker's appearance - maybe he was there for a reason - to distract attention from Harman's comments and possibly, there with her approval!

Please don't bother inviting Jarvis Cocker on to the programme again. His contribution was dreadful.

Yet again we see the BBC question time applying ageist discrimination when it comes to one of the public on the panel……. He or she must be under twenty one…………Of course if they are part of Mr. Dimbleys click and represent the chattering classes like Shami Chakrabarti, we the tax payer (sorry the license fee payer) can pay for them to talk about liberty from the comfort of their panelist chair. Without one question asking how far would she go to protect liberty.

Jarvis Cocker is right up there with Michael Winner and Will Young as the worst panellists ever to appear on Question Time.

I turned the programme off long before the end this week. The combination of Jarvis Cocker who admitted to no expertise on anything and even less to add to the debate

Everything people have said about Jarvis Cocker has been correct. I see no need to have a token celebrity on the show, I'd rather listen to the views of policymakers, our representatives, captains of industry, etc. If a celebrity is going to appear on the show, lets at least be sure they have some sort of interest in current affairs and politics and is capable of contributing to a debate.

Hariet Harman should be on top of her brief. She said last night that the Government was re- nationalising National Express. They are not, thay are taking the franchise to run East Coast Mainline back in to public ownership. National Express set up a seperate limited company to run the franchise.
