Are you worried about swine flu?

The UN’s top health official has said the worldwide spread of swine flu is now unstoppable. Are you concerned?

Speaking from a global forum in Mexico on combating the virus, World Health Organisation head Margaret Chan added that most H1N1 cases are mild.

As the summit opened, the UK alone was projecting more than 100,000 new cases of H1N1 a day by the end of the summer.

Have you been affected by the swine flu virus? Are you more aware of people sneezing around you? Are you taking any precautions?

I can't say I really thought about it. Sure, people around me are coughing, sneezing - but that's year round. If it's going to hit me, then it's going to hit me. It's like getting a cold, or flu - one can do but so much and then sometimes you still get it. I only pray, that my mother (who will be 79) doesn't get it.

Worried about Swine Flu?
No.

Worried about WHO and political figures using Swine Flu for nefarious purposes?
Absolutely.

9/11 was used to usher in draconian legislation (e.g Patriot Act), which severely encroached on Human Rights and the concept of freedom.

7/7 was then orchestrated to further the government's War Of Terror on the population and continue the political agenda.

Swine Flu is simply a continuation of the ongoing war upon the populace; a manufactured and marketed bioweapon.

The BBC reports there are 50 cases of Swine flu in Wales. I would suggest it is more like hundreds or thousands. Wales will never know how many cases they have as GPs were not encouraged to do swabs at any time unless their was contact with a confirmed case. Since very few were swabbed, almost no-one was confirmed, so no-one could officially be a contact of confirmed cases. The virus is spreading in Wales but official figures will never show this and we are not set-up to cope. I know - I'm a GP

Use common sense, as with anything: "be calm and don't pandemic"

I always marvel at the most read. How do they achieve those scores etc etc?. Certainly judging by the first two entries, with all due respect, their ignorance astounds me. Working closely with the health sector, this will become a more serious threat come the autumn. At the moment it is mild. We have to hope it stays that way, because if it mutates or strengthens, there won't be much to poke fun at then. It is a serious threat, treat it as such!

Oh...swine flu...isn't that that illness that disappeared during the MP expenses debacle and has now re-appeared as public-diversionary-tactic-number 1? There must be some bad news either on the way or already released that they don't want us to find out about. Watch this space.

I'm more worried about the Governments inefficiency in getting the drugs to those who need it . Currently there are centralised distributors. In a local case to me a patient in Saffron Walden ,Essex had to travel to Bishops Stortford (Herts) , as it was the nearest distribution point, nearly 20 miles away. If there is such nonsence going on now, God only knows what will happen once the flu season really gets going.

I'm glad the top voted comments are so relaxed.

They will look both stupid and arrogant if this thing becomes a bit of a problem.

Still, what do they and there voters care?

It wont kill them will it? or so they assume!!!!

Well we dont know do we, but why does someone think they are so smart to sound so omniscient, when in truth, they havent got the faintest clue what they are talking about!

One thing that amazes me is the thoughtless people who have no care whatsoever for others.

"I'll just get on with it", "it's like any other flu, live with it"

How about.

I will avoid going to places where there are vulnerable people. I will try and contain it to myself, good hygiene and avoid public places for the duration. One sneeze by you could be the death of someone else.

My husband has had pneumonia for the last 2.5 months, and three courses of antibiotics have not cured it. We will have 2 kids in full time school starting mid August, and I am very nervous that my husband will catch the flu given his current respiratory issues. My plan is to get us all the flu-shot this year, though it remains unclear how effective that will be against H1N1.

All of us at home have suffered a very unusual form of viral infection. Two of my sons and I still have it. ..I tried to report the case of my eldest son to my local GP surgery, but they took no notice of it. Is it swine flu? Isn't it swine flu? Nobody cares.

Carlos Cortiglia, London, United Kingdom

When swine flu hit our house last month, it looked like this: fever 100.5 - 102.5 (F), sick all over feeling, headache, occasional dry cough. It lasted about 5-6 days. It was like typical flu.
