Is a suicide pact carried out abroad a ‘very civilised way to die’ and should the option be available in Britain?

If someone had a sick animal with poor or little quality of life a vet would put the animal to sleep and out of it's misery.
If that same person did not take the animal to a vet and it died in pain or with no quality of life and then that person got found out, they would be be prosecuted and maybe even put in prison.
so what is the difference between human life and an animals life in the same situation.
suicide should be legalised for sitiuations of this nature.

If I kill someone I get tried and sentenced. If I ask someome to kill me, it is also murder, whatever mitigating circumstances there might be.The person who does the killing is in danger of becoming another Shipman, a serial killer. I have no right to ask someone to become in danger of becoming a serial killer. Once someone deliberately kills, they tend to repeat it more easily, until they don't even think about it. There can be no legislation which would protect the killer or future victim.

The right to die should be available to anyone who requests it, so long as they have been proved to have thought rationally about the consequences. At the moment, we force the suicidal to kill themselves in car 'accidents' or enduring the a slow, agonzing death from paracetamol poisoning.
This can be dangerous to others or an expensive drain on NHS resources. Allow people to quietly end their own lives, peacefully and quietly.

It seems all the rage to go along with the right to die and euthanasia dogma being pushed at every opportunity by a certain element (within the BBC particularly)in our society.Depressed people being given a ride to the suicide chamber when asking for tablets to kill theselves.Old people thinking I am a financial burden on the NHS,better lfinish me off !Life is sacred and in our Christian country it is time we stood up for those values and not let others bulldoze us into dangerous circumstances.
