I would loved to ask the Afghan chap's thoughts who commented on the discussion re our mission and 500 troops to go out the 'stan whether he thought that the poppy crop that he said his people in Helmand were calling on Taliban to defend from destruction was a legitimate way to earn a living as the crop is refined into heroin which is destroying and wrecking lives in our country and supporting criminal activity in Afghanistan and Europe and Taliban attacks on Womens and girls education..

This government has no real mandate and are the worst in our recent history. Jacquie Smith is only one example of their attitude. Call that an apology? She absolutely broke the rules and I can't believe she has the effrontery to say she wished the outcome had been 'more fair'. I'm also very unhappy about the current multi-million pound bonuses being paid in the banking industry which we, the over-burdened taxpayers, have had to prop up. Govt. have done nothing to stop this travesty.

In response to the man allowing his 3 yr old to smoke who received 18 months, the panel beleiveing this man deserved to be punished as child abuse, then why are'nt pregnant women who mindlessly rob their children of a full and fair chance prosectuted for ABH for smoking when pregnant? These women are not fit to be mothers.

The disruption that Royal mail are going to plan is going to affect everyone over this Christmsas period and I think everyone should send their personal greetings over the phone or by email and withdraw for this year posted greeting cards and see how Royal Mail cope with the enormous loss of revenue.

On the day it sat the committee which ruled Jacqui Smith need not repay anyof the £100000 comprised one Conservative and 5 Labour MPs. One Conservative member had stood down as he had been promoted to the Shadow front bench, the Libdem member was at his party conference and the others were unable to attend for other reasons.

We've heard time and time again that our Soldiers are dying a justified death in Afghanistan to protect Britain.
Sorry folks but that is 100% total rubbish, the politicians have dug a hole and they just keep digging themselves further into it at others cost.

As for the Politicians on the panel griping about the BNP.
Hilarious, these are the same Politicians who have been robbing the Tax Payers of 100's of 1,000's pounds.

Remember: no one in the country was asked about Multiculturism.

When will this war end? If we manage to kick the Taleban out of Afghanistan they will set up shop elsewhere - Pakistan, Uzbekistan etc.. So what then, keep invading countries ad infinitum????

It's crazy. Get out now...

The Labour part tell us they are trying to keep people employed and saving jobs. Would someone like ask Alan Johnson why approx 100 Wardens and co workers have just lost their jobs.
Which was set up by his friend John Prescot.
Roll on election time!!!!

I am getting fed up with hearing people say " I dont agree with the bnp but". Theres comes a point where you have to accept and say that you do agree with the bnp. This is not racist and people who say it is, so what, people dont agree all the time.We all have the right to vote for who we think represents what we believe or who would do the best job for us. Instead we are manipulated to vote for people we dont want to vote for because its wrong if we dont, its not.
