How highly do you rate Britain's new heavyweight boxing champion?

Britain's first heavyweight boxing world champion since Lennox Lewis, David Haye, is back in the UK after beating Russian giant Nicolay Valuev. Do you think he'll retain his belt in his next fight?

Haye produced a great technical performance to beat 7ft 2in (2.18m) Valuev on a majority points decision in Germany on Saturday.

The 29-year-old says his WBA belt is a bit big for him at the moment so is being resized and that he's hoping to emulate his hero Muhammad Ali.

Next up is likely to be former American champion John Ruiz, who's the mandatory challenger for the WBA belt.

Do you think David Haye can retain his world heavyweight title? How does he rate against previous champions like Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno? If you saw his fight on Saturday, what did you think of his style?

He is a worthy championing, unlike a certain CANADIAN who didn't deserve the title

He will be a champion for years to come, and will unify the title with wins against the eastern brothers!

I don't think many did pay to view the fight.

Before this fight I'd never heard of either of them, I haven't seen any clips and probably will never get to see any fights in future.

I doubt he'll ever be as good as Lewis or Bruno as the fights then were far more accessible to view.
